Jeffrey Zwirn built his first alarm system back in 1969 – that was at the age of 9. Since then, Mr. Zwirn has become a 18 year active New York City Police Department (NYPD) Expert Instructor, a Master Alarm Technician, Florida, New Jersey, and New York State Certified and Licensed Burglar and Fire Alarm Contractor, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) -Board Certified in Security Management, ASIS International, Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) – National Fire Protection Association International (NFPA®), Certified NICET Level IV Senior Engineering Technician (SET) in Fire Protection Engineering Technology/Fire Alarm Systems – National Institute For Certification In Engineering Technologies (NICET), Certificate Number 111275, Level I and II Certified Engineering Technician in Fire Protection Engineering Technology/Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems (FASI&T)- NICET Florida State Registered Electrical Contractor, Certified Burglar and Fire Alarm Specialty Electrician, Certified in Homeland Security Level IV, Fellow-American Board of Forensic Engineering and Technology (FACFEI), Certified Criminal Investigator (CCI), Certified by the American College of Forensic Examiners Internationalsm (ACFEI) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
Mr. Zwirn has over forty years of specialized education, skill, knowledge, training, experience and credentials in security systems, fire alarm and life safety systems, access control, and overt and covert CCTV surveillance system design, recommendations, development, installation, service, maintenance, inspection, testing, operational management and UL Listed Central Station Monitoring of almost all types and brands of security systems. Mr. Zwirn is a high security specialist and provides physical and electronic security system evaluations, security surveys, needs analysis, target hardening, vulnerability assessments and advanced countermeasures, which through his expert methodologies are utilized against the criminal element.
Mr. Zwirn was formerly appointed by the National Fire Protection Association to serve on NFPA 72® of the National Fire Alarm Code®, and NFPA 72® of the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code as a Principal Technical Committee Panel Member in the Special Expert (SE) Category. Mr. Zwirn is the author of the peer reviewed forensic treatise entitled The Alarm Science Manual™ and was appointed and currently serves on twenty two (22) UL® Standard Technical Panels. He is also the technical writer for the monthly Security Science column published by the nationally recognized and peer reviewed Security Sales and Integration Magazine. Mr. Zwirn also provided sixty seven (67) Submissions which were accepted for NFPA 730®, the Guide for Premises Security. As an instructor to the technical community of the alarm, security, and law enforcement industries, Mr. Zwirn has authored security and alarm system test questions for the New York City Police Department’s Basic Methods of Security Course, The American Society for Industrial Security, for their coveted and internationally recognized Certified Protection Professional Certification Examination, and for the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Fire Alarm Certification Program Levels I-IV.
